- After graduating from Trinity in '89, I worked in print and broadcast journalism in the US until a move to Denmark forced me into becoming an entrepreneur. My first venture was a small import/ specialty coffee business which I drove successfully for 7 years. We were the first company in the continent to sell flavored coffee syrups "frapuccino"- type drinks, and a number of other products that we all take for granted nowadays (in spite of what anyone in the US tells you of "Italian style" coffee drinks)...
After a successful buyout; I did some traveling around Europe and the Americas, and, after burning through a lot of money, went back to working in television. I became a program development consultant for Egmont/ Nordisk film www.egmont.com (Scandinavia's largest media concern) working on TV and "New Media". A bit over two years after that, I ventured on my own and founded my current company: Fourth Screen Inc.
The company specializes in developing new content distribution platforms and formats for mobile and on-line video and audio. It is exciting, fast, stressing, and all them other things that an IT/ Media venture should be.
We have successfully launched projects working with partners such as Nokia, Zentropa Entertainment, Telia Sonera, and the BBC.
We are experienced, lean, and still a bit wet behind the ears (anyone who tells you that they aren't in OUR business, is either selling you something or too full of themselves to realize it).
In any case, I have a good network on this side of the pond within IT, Communications, New Media Production, and product licensing. I ALSO HAVE A PHONE AND AM NOT AFRAID TO USE IT.
I would like to network any alumni that may want to expand their horizons into the European market, and help where I may.
PS: I played Football at Trinity during the dark pre-glory years (1985-1989), and was head coach for a couple of teams in the Danish National League. For any recent graduates that may want to bum around Europe playing football, I can probably help guide you to a totally different sport experience over here .
